Popcorn Machine Buyer's Guide
Our machine is not the same as our competition.
Our premium 8 oz. machines have a more robust (heavier) shell, 3 switches, larger wheels, 2 shelves, and the electronics and kettle are different. We have invested in premium features such as all metal gears, tempered glass, higher wattage, and a larger kettle to meet our customer’s demands.
Only top quality machines have warming decks, and we have placed a heating element underneath the unit for ultimate performance. Combine that with the heat lamp/light, and your popcorn will remain fresh & hot for hours.
Our machine uses tempered glass for years of use and added quality.
All of the glass on the Great Northern Popcorn Company machines is tempered. Why tempered? Tempered glass is scratch resistant and less prone to warping.
Our premium machines have a 8 ounce kettle.
Let's be clear about one thing: four ounces of popcorn is not much. Our 8 ounce machine makes between 3-4 gallons of popcorn. Our machine will also work with 4 ounce portion packs--and cooks it quicker.
Our machine cooks faster and is quieter.
The cooking speed is dependent upon the quality of the heating element and wattage level. It is impossible for a 640 watt machine to cook the same amount of popcorn in the same amount of time as our poppers. We specifically designed this machine so the popcorn will be cooked within 3 to 5 minutes.
Our machine is heavier.
We use 20% thicker steel and 25% thicker glass.
Our machine has 3 switches -- not two.
We added a 3rd switch so you can control the stirrer, the heating element, and the hot lamp independently. This puts lets wear and tear on the machine and allows for preheating for the fastest cook time possible.

We stand behind every product we sell. We are so confident about our products that we offer a 3 year guarantee on the machine and a 30 day limited warranty on all consumable parts including kettles and/or light bulbs. We put our guarantee in writing and stand behind our products.
